I recently had the opportunity to work as the VAD and Volume Op for a commercial shoot. Big shoutout to the team over at the Be Electric studio up on NYC, working with them is always a pleasure, they're so dialed in to their technology that shoots are always incredibly smooth and efficient.
For this, I was tasked with creating two environments with 4 variants each to represent different products within a brand line. A "Science Lab" set, and a "Talk Show" set. I had just 2 weeks to go thru concept to final iterations, and then provide pathtrace rendered plates to use on the wall without tracking for this production.
Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the results, the Science Lab turned out to be the trickiest from a creative direction standpoint, going thru several iterations of design language, from very real, to very cozy home magazine look, to a final sleek and polished design.
